If so, this opportunity at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune is built for you.

Ridgewood Government Services is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide direct patient care and consultative pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary pain management team at NMC Camp Lejeune. This is a high-impact, patient-facing role where your expertise in pharmacotherapeutics will directly support the health and well-being of the military community.

What You'll Do

Pain Management & Patient Care
  • Conduct deliberate medication reviews and reconciliation for chronic pain patients, and develop strategies for patients with histories of non-compliance, abuse, or diversion.
  • Conduct clinical interviews with patients, families, and caregivers to gather information necessary to design pharmacotherapeutic treatment plans.
  • Provide pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, including prescribing in accordance with MTF policy and performing auricular acupuncture as required to support comprehensive pain management.

Drug Therapy & Clinical Collaboration
  • Work with physicians to provide drug therapy recommendations, perform polypharmacy management, and educate patients on changes in drug therapy.
  • Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory tests to assess clinical response, development of adverse drug reactions, and therapeutic drug levels.

Patient Education & Documentation
  • Educate patients and their families/caregivers on medications and non-drug therapies; provide written drug information, counsel on self-monitoring, and promote medication adherence with compliance aids.

Who You Are

  • A licensed pharmacist with hands-on clinical pharmacy experience, ideally in pain management settings.
  • Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a high-tempo military treatment facility.
  • Knowledgeable in pharmacotherapeutics, polypharmacy management, and patient counseling for complex or at-risk populations.

Qualifications

Education
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP); or documentation of appropriate education, training, and/or CME in clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience
  • Possess a graduate certificate from an accredited pharmacy residency program within the preceding year; OR a minimum of 12 months of experience within the preceding 18 months as a Clinical Pharmacist performing direct patient care in an inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting; OR clinical privileges as a Clinical Pharmacist within a MTF within the preceding 36 months.
  • Specific training or experience in pain management services required.

Licensure
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.

Work Authorization
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively to communicate with patients, families, and all healthcare team members.
