  • Perform biopsies and other diagnostic techniques, and determine clinical laboratory testing needs
  • Prescribe treatment, including medication, cutaneous laser treatments, phototherapy, iontophoresis, and photodynamic therapy
  • Eradicate biopsy-proven cutaneous malignancies, or refer patients to the appropriate provider
  • Recognize adverse signs and respond quickly to emergent conditions

Consultation & Collaboration

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, offering mutual consultative support

Teaching, Quality & Documentation
  • Instruct medical students, interns, residents, nurse practitioner students, PA interns, and nursing staff
  • Participate in monthly peer review, quality assurance, committees, and Joint Commission standards
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and complete all notes before your last day
  • Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of privileges

Who You Are
  • A confident, independent clinician who is comfortable exercising sound professional judgment
  • A clear communicator with patients, families, and the care team, in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Someone who treats every patient with privacy, dignity, and respect
  • Proficient with electronic health records and standard office and web-based applications
  • A team player who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and continuous learning

Qualifications

Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.); foreign medical graduates must hold an ECFMG certificate
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency or fellowship

Experience
  • At least 24 months of documented, current, independent clinical experience within the last 60 months, sufficient to be awarded “Regular” privileges (recent residency or fellowship completion may satisfy part or all of this)
  • Experience in a DoD or VA medical treatment facility is preferred

Certifications & Licensure
  • Current American Board of Dermatology or American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology certification (or actively maintaining certification)
  • Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications, maintained at your own expense
  • Current, valid, unrestricted medical license
    • Held in the U.S. jurisdiction where services are performed (Colorado)
    • Must remain free of limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions

Eligibility
  • U.S. citizenship (required for all positions on this contract)
  • Ability to submit a complete credentialing package within 30 days
