JOB OPENING
- Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

- Job-Type: Part-Time to Full-Time
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program at a technical or community college, college, or university.
- Able to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
- Possess organization, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/caregivers, and medical and non-medical staff professionally and courteously.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care interventions
- Apply therapeutic principles to support functional recovery and daily living activities
- Collect and document patient performance data accurately
- Monitor and report patient responses to treatment
- Support therapists with evaluations, tests, measurements, and procedures
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate therapeutic exercises and physical therapy interventions
- Collaborate with staff and network providers to ensure continuity of care
- Facilitate, fit, instruct, and establish use of adaptive equipment, orthoses, braces, and other therapeutic devices
- Ensure equipment safety and cleanliness; submit work orders for repairs as needed
- Maintain the rehabilitation space and monitor upkeep of therapy equipment
DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status
This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
